This episode features Anthony DePalma. He worked for 22 years as a reporter and foreign correspondent for The New York Times. In 2001 he published Here: A Biography of the New American Continent and 2006 The Man Who Invented Fidel. DePalma contributed to “Portraits of Grief” which won a Pulitzer for The Times in 2001, and among other awards he was a 2007 Emmy finalist for the documentary “Toxic Legacy.” He currently severs as a writer-in-residence at Seton Hall and released a book earlier this year titled The Cubans: Ordinary Lives in Extraordinary Times.

She earned a doctoral degree in Information and Decision Systems from George Washington University, a master's degree in economics from the University of Rome II -Tor Vergata, a master's degree in business administration from George Washington University, where she was a Fulbright and Bank of Rome Scholar, and a combined bachelor's/master's degree in political science from LUISS University in Rome.

He is a Distinguished Member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a part of the National Association of College Admission Counseling and serves on a committee on best practices within the Council of the College of Arts and Sciences. Among numerous other accomplishments and experiences, Dr. Kaiser leads the Buccino Leadership Institutes Arts and Sciences Cohort.

Fairfax is the founder of Crucible Leadership, a philosophical and practical breakthrough in turning business and personal failures into the fuel for igniting a life of significance. He was only 26 when, as the fifth-generation heir to a media empire bearing his family name, he led and lost a multibillion-dollar public takeover bid. As a result, the company founded by his great-great grandfather slipped from family control after 150 years. Fairfax holds an undergraduate degree from Oxford University and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife, Gale, and three children.
